Management staff of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) will be gathering in the heartland city of Owerri, Imo State, for a Retreat, in order to chart the direction of the Institute in 2012.
The Retreat, with the theme: “Consolidating on the Gains of the Past: Taking NICO to the Next Level,” will take place at City Global Hotel, Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, from 2-4 February 2012, and will be declared open by the Honourable Minister for Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, High Chief Edem Duke.
All Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, as well as Coordinators of the six geopolitical zonal offices as well as the Lagos Liaison Office, are expected to attend the Retreat.
The Retreat, an initiative of the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, is the second in the series, and has provided a veritable platform to kick-start the programmes and activities of the Institute for the year.
