Members of the House Committee on Culture & Tourism, National Assembly, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, are expected to visit the Corporate Headquarters of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), located at 23, Kigoma Street, Wuse Zone 7, Abuja, today, Monday, January 30, 2012, in fulfilment of the Oversight Functions of the National Assembly.
The visit will provide a platform for the Executive Secretary, Dr. Barclays Foubiri Ayakoroma, to properly brief members of the Committee on the
programmes and activities of the Institute, and the need for proper funding.
It will be recalled that management of the Institute appeared before both Committees of the red chamber and the green chamber last week to defend the 2012 Budget Proposal, and this visit is for the Honourable members to properly assess the situation on ground.
The Team visiting NICO will be led by Hon. Muniru Abiodun Hakeem representing Oshodi Federal Constituency II, Lagos State.
