NICO ES Calls for Closer Ties with Banks

The Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Ayakoroma, has commended the management of Zenith Bank Plc for maintaining good relationship with their clients, noting that it is imperative for banks to cultivate closer business ties with their various publics for mutually beneficial relationships.

Dr. Ayakoroma stated this when a delegation of Zenith Bank Plc, led by the Assistant General Manager/Zonal Head, Wuse Zone, Mr. Abbas Umar Masanawa, paid him a courtesy call at the NICO Headquarters in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

He said that as an Institute engaged in workshops and seminars, as well as training and research programmes in the culture sector, NICO is publishing NICO NEWS, an in-house journal which needs patronage from the organised private sector in terms of sponsorship and advert placement, as part of their corporate social responsibility.

Earlier in his remarks, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Masanawa said they were in NICO, to formally congratulate Dr. Ayakoroma on his appointment and show appreciation for the long-standing banking relationship NICO has established with Zenith Bank Plc.

He said that it is imperative that Zenith leverage on that and explore other opportunities to enhance the subsisting business relationship.

He assured the management of NICO that Zenith Bank Plc will identify with NICO programmes as much as possible in furtherance of its corporate social responsibility.

Mr. Masanawa was accompanied by Gladys Ezemyo, Safiya Ogbaje, and Ikechukwu Madueke; while the NICO management staff present were the Director of Research and Documentation, Mr. Festus Ihenetu, the Director of Training and Orientation, Prince Dele Olusa, the S.A. to the Executive Secretary, Mr. Ebi Campbell, the Assistant Director (Protocol), Mr. Alex Omijie, the Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Ohi Ojo, and the Chief Accountant, Mr. Godson Ordu.
