The 33rd Meeting of the Chief Executives of Culture (CEC) of the Federation comes up from March 9-12, 2010, at the Aminu Isa Kontagora Cultural Centre, Old Otukpo Road, Makurdi, Benue State.

d Tsevende, the Executive Director of the Benue State Council for Arts & Culture.
A letter of invitation signed by the Executive Director of the National Council for Arts & Culture (NCAC), Mr. M. M. Maidugu, expressed appreciation to CEC members for the success of the 23rd edition of the National Festival of Arts & Culture (NAFEST), which held in Minna, Niger State, from October 11-18, 2009.
Mr. Maidugu said that the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Suswam, is expected to declare the meeting open on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 10am.
According to Mr. Maidugu, the meeting is expected to review NAFEST 2009, look at modalities for NAFEST 2010, study preparations for the 3rd African Arts &Crafts Expo (AFAC) 2010, and receive memoranda by states and federal culture parastatals.
Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Dr. Barclays Ayakoroma, has said that apart from the usual report, NICO will present three memos, namely, Workshop on Nigerian Dress Culture, Participation of Cultural Workers in the NICO Training School programmes, and Quiz Wazobia, an Indigenous Language programme on television.
A communiqué is expected at the end of the meeting.
